Yes. Sessions are available both in-person in Fort Lauderdale and via secure telehealth all over Florida, Nebraska, and Iowa.
Many clients prefer virtual sessions because they’re efficient, flexible, and easy to fit into a busy schedule without sacrificing effectiveness.
How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?
Sessions are 50-55 minutes.
Most clients start weekly to build momentum and actually see progress. From there, we adjust based on what’s changing and what you need.
This isn’t meant to drag on indefinitely we focus on making sessions count.
What’s your cancellation policy?
I require at least 8 hours minimum notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations are charged the full session fee.
This protects the time set aside specifically for your work.
Getting Started
What happens in the first session?
The first session is straightforward.
We focus on:
What’s not working right now
What feels stuck or frustrating
What you’ve already tried
No pressure to say everything perfectly. No rapid-fire questioning.
The goal is to get clarity quickly and for you to leave knowing whether this feels like the right fit.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Most clients come in because something keeps repeating:
The same internal pressure or frustration
The same stress or anxiety
The same relationship issues
You don’t need to be in crisis.
If you’re tired of dealing with it on your own and want something to actually change, therapy makes sense.
What if I don’t know what to say or where to start?
That’s common especially for men who are used to handling things internally.
You don’t need to come in with the “right” words.
I’ll guide the conversation, ask the right questions, and help break things down so you can actually understand what’s going on.
How do I know if you’re the right fit?
Fit matters but not in a vague way.
This is a good fit if you:
Want a direct, honest approach
Are open to looking at patterns
Are willing to try something different
The first session is a real conversation not a commitment. You’ll know pretty quickly if it feels right.
My Approach
What types of clients do you work best with?
I primarily work with high-functioning men who feel:
Stuck, even though they “shouldn’t be”
Disconnected in relationships
Frustrated, but unsure how to change it
Many are:
Professionals or business owners
Used to figuring things out on their own
Tired of carrying everything internally
I also work with individuals and couples who want a more direct, results-oriented approach.
What’s your approach to therapy?
This is not passive therapy.
We focus on:
Understanding patterns clearly
Breaking those patterns
Applying change in real life
I integrate evidence-based approaches like CBT and relational work, but sessions are practical, direct, and grounded in what’s actually happening in your life.
Insight matters but change matters more.
Do you give homework or things to work on between sessions?
Sometimes but only when it’s useful.
This might include:
Trying a different response in a real situation
Practicing boundaries
Noticing specific patterns as they happen
Nothing is assigned just to “do more work.”
The goal is to make therapy show up in your actual life.
Do you accept insurance?
This is a private pay practice, which allows for more focused, personalized, and results-oriented work that allows for complete privacy of your health and personal information.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement.
